Welcome to PET DIRECT. Please read this Terms of Use in its entirety. By continuing on to registration you agree to abide by this agreement.

Mission: To provide a central location for Pet Owners and Seekers to meet and interact with each other in order to save lives of pets.

Terms of Service

1) Acceptance of TOS:

Pet Direct forum is provided as a free community service sponsored by Real Rescue Inc., unless otherwise indicated.

The TOS is subject to change without notice. By accessing the Pet Direct Community forum, the user is indicating acceptance of the TOS in its entirety.

Real Rescue Inc. shall not be liable to you for any breach of these TOS. If you do not agree with these TOS, please do not register for the Pet Direct Community website. It is up to you to check the TOS for new additions or amendments when Pet Direct announces such additions or amendments. If you do not agree to these additions or amendments please arrange to terminate your account with Pet Direct Community immediately by (a) notifying Pet Direct Community of your non-acceptance of the additions or amendments to these TOS and (b) discontinue your use of the Pet Direct Community website. Your continued use of the Pet Direct Community website is considered acceptance of the additions or amendments to the TOS.

2) Registration Information and Privacy Policy:

When registering an account on the Pet Direct Community a username and valid email address are required. Please note, failure to provide a valid email address will result in nullifying the registration.

Pet Direct Community reserves the right to terminate the user’s membership if it is found that false or misleading information has been provided to the Pet Direct Community.

3) Termination:

Pet Direct Community reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to immediately without notice suspend or terminate (a) the TOS and/or (b) your account on the Pet Direct Community website upon any breech of these TOS. If your account is terminated with or without your knowledge and you attempt to re-register under another username you will be banned. If you request your membership be deleted the same rule applies. However you are able to re-register after 3 months.

4) Modification of these TOS :

Pet Direct Community may modify from time to time in its sole discretion the TOS. In the event that these TOS are modified Pet Direct Community will post notification of such on the log in page of thePet Direct Community forums as well as on other pages of the Pet Direct Community website. In continuing to use the services provided on the Pet Direct Community website you acknowledge and accept any such changes made to the TOS.

5) Modification of the Pet Direct Community :

The Pet Direct Community may modify or discontinue the Pet Direct Community website or any portion thereof or service, product or event related thereto with or without notice to you and with or without liability to you or any third party, except as otherwise provided herein.

6) Content of Posts:

The user alone is responsible for the content of his/her posts, and any consequence of such posts. Pet Direct Community reserves the right to (a) send official warning to the user (b) lock and/or remove the offending post (c) terminate the user’s account if Pet Direct Community determines in its sole discretion that the user has violated any of the following guidelines. The opinions expressed within the posts are solely the opinions of the author and do not represent the opinions of the Pet Direct Community.

7) a. Forum Guidelines:

- Users of the Pet Direct Community forums shall use an appropriate username which does not contain foul language or derogatory phrases.

- Users of the Pet Direct Community forums shall provide a valid, secure email address.

- Users of the Pet Direct Community forums shall not use languages of attack, harassment, derogatory comments towards ethnic, racial, religious, differently-abled person, persons or groups.

- Users of the Pet Direct Community forums shall not post messages or material of any kind or nature that is unlawful, harassing, libelous, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive, inaccurate or otherwise objectionable material or that encourages conduct that could constitute a criminal offense or any of the above listed descriptions.

- Users of the Pet Direct Community forums shall not use the forums to promote personal businesses.

- Spam of any sort will not be tolerated within the forums and will be immediately removed. Warnings may or may not be given and the user may or may not be banned immediately. Spam is considered anything that promotes a commercial product or service, allows the poster to benefit from the sale of the product or service being posted, or linking to a competitive website for the express purpose of the other site gaining new members.

- Users agree not to impersonate any other person or identity whether actual or fictional within our forums at any time.

- Users also agree not to allow any other person or persons to use their username to access the Pet Direct Community website.

Signatures and Avatars :

- While users are permitted to post graphics, all posted graphics must be owned by the user or used with permission. Graphics must reside on a server to which the owner has permission to link. Graphics must be in good taste, not considered pornographic and must not contain foul language. All graphics must be considered ““family friendly””.

- Business graphics and logos are not permitted to be used in the content of a post, avatar or signature.

- Avatar graphics can be no larger than 100 x 100 pixels. While our program will shrink any graphic to that size, it is expected that the original be that size to allow for faster page downloads.

- Signature graphics must be no larger than 75k in total for file size and no larger than 300x300 pixels in physical size. The signature area should be no larger than 4 inches in height. Pet Direct Community has the right to remove anything larger from your profile with or without notice.

- Graphics within posts should be not used.

- Pet Direct Community reserves the right to change these allowances and/or revoke the ability to use graphics within our forums at any time.

(b) Code of Conduct:

By participating in the Pet Direct Community’s forum you are agreeing to abide by our Code of Conduct.

1. Respect for fellow members

2. Agree to Disagree

Disagreements are okay. If you disagree with a member’s opinion or post, by all means, challenge the opinion, however, any challenge must be given with a sense of respect for the other member. The idea behind a discussion is to understand the other party involved, not to attack or convince them that your opinion is the right one. Name calling or attacks of any kind will not be tolerated.

3. Don’’t Attack Each Other

Personal attacks will not be tolerated. Harassing, offensive, vulgar, abusive, hateful or bashing communications, especially those aimed at sexual orientation, gender, race, color, religious views, national origin or disability will not be permitted. Think before you post. If you’re about to post a message that could be deemed as an attack, go back, re-read it and make changes to it before you post.

4. Keep your personal information private

Pet Direct Community insists members keep their personal information private. Do not provide telephone numbers and addresses on the website,  for example.

5. Be Courteous - don’t post in duplicate

Do not post the same message on several different forums. Duplicate posts can be frustrating and annoying to other members, especially those with limited time on their hands. Duplicate posts will be deleted.

6. Report Problems:

If you encounter a violation of this code of conduct, forum guidelines, Terms of Service or Privacy Policy please report it to a staff member.

7) Disclaimers of Warranties:

You expressly agree that use of the Pet Direct Community is at your sole risk. The Pet Direct Community is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Pet Direct Community and its sponsor Real Rescue Inc. expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

You understand and agree that any material and/or data downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the Pet Direct Community website is at your own discretion and risk that you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computers system or loss of data that results from the download of such material and/or data.

You understand and agree that Pet Direct Community and Real Rescue Inc. does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or usefulness for a particular purpose of any information provided in connection with the Pet Direct Community. Any information provided with the understanding that neither Pet Direct Community nor Real Rescue Inc, or  its members, while such members are participating in the Pet Direct Community, are engaged in rendering legal, medical, counseling or other professional services or advice. Pet Direct Community encourages you to seek appropriate professional advice or care for any situation or problem which you may have.

Pet Direct Community and its sponsor Real Rescue Inc. shall not be responsible for any loss or damage caused, or alleged to have been caused, directly or indirectly, by the information or ideas contained, suggested or referenced in the Pet Direct Community. Your participation in the Pet Direct Community website is solely at your own risk. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by you from the Pet Direct Community shall create any warranty not expressly made herein.

8) Private Message Storage:

Pet Direct Community assumes no responsibility for the deletion of or failure to store private messages.

9) Views and Opinions:
You are entitled to yours, and as long as it is expressed in an appropriate manner, feel free to do so. The intention is to provide a supportive atmosphere; members that insist on badmouthing the program, using inflammatory words and arguments in an effort to create discord and anxiety WILL BE REMOVED.

Membership here is a privilege, not a right.
